Cathedral service to celebrate Diamond Jubilee

A special service celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee will take place in Truro Cathedral on Sunday, May 27, at 4pm.

The cathedral will host representatives of community groups and organisations from across Cornwall as well as members of the public at a special service to mark the Queen’s reign.

A special “Diamond Jubilee Fanfare” performed by students from Helston Community College will give a rousing start to proceedings.

Canon Perran Gay, acting dean of Truro Cathedral, said: “The cathedral is delighted to be hosting this special service. The Queen holds a special place of affection in people’s hearts, and this service is an opportunity to celebrate and give thanks for all that Her Majesty has given to this country and its people.”
