Flight desinations increase at Newquay Airport

With summer nearly here, Newquay Airport gets it off to a flying start with three new routes.

Starting in early May passengers can fly to Belfast City, Newcastle and Norwich.

Flybe will be running up to 70 flights a week from Newquay, into six popular destinations including the current routes to Edinburgh and London Gatwick.

This month also welcomes the return of the Newquay to Glasgow route, run by LoganAir, five times a week.

Winter has also seen a number of terminal improvementsn at the airport.

These include:

• Increase in the size of the Security area to reduce the passenger processing time

• A new heating and cooling system, replacing failed and out-dated units with modern units using more eco-friendly refrigerants

• Replacement lighting equipment throughout the Terminal providing more energy efficient fittings

• Refurbishment of arrivals hall and departure lounge toilets
