Tea shop celebrates award

The Tea Shop at Trewithen Gardens, near Grampound Road, has been awarded a prestigious Gold Level CHEFS Award in recognition of its commitment to offering healthy menu options using locally sourced food.

The Award means that the tea shop will be able to display the distinctive blue logo which tells customers that it has adopted and maintains a high degree of food safety and standards as well as offering healthier options on its menus.

Owners Mark and Sonya Rogers said: “We would like to say a very big thank you to all our staff in helping us achieve this award and to Cornwall Council for recognising the hard work and ongoing commitment we have pledged to maintaining and continually improving standards.

“The Tea Shop will close for the winter on September 30 but will be re-opening on March 1, and look forward to seeing all our customers again then."
