What started as a back bedroom business selling organic baby clothes has gone from strength to strength and the founders have now opened a new office in Helston.

Frugi began six years ago and for the last four years have been working out of a converted barn at Gear Farm in St Martin, but more demand has prompted a move to the Wheal Vrose business park.

Frugi now employs 18 people and supplies over 400 stockists. Presenter, stage star and talent show judge Denise van Outen posted on her Twitter account that her new daughter Betsy was dressed in Frugi clothes.

Co-director Lucy Jewson said: “We were sad to leave behind our barn at Gear Farm. We absolutely loved it there, and it’s a place where I spent happy childhood days playing with my best friend.

“But, onwards and upwards – we desperately needed more space to accommodate our ever expanding team and to store our growing seasonal stock. We’re all settled in now, and the team love the new office.”
