Flambards at Helston will mark Armed Forces Day by offering free entry to all British personnel currently serving in the armed forces and half price entry for up to five members of their family.

Armed Forces Day on Saturday, June 26 and Sunday, June 27 is an annual opportunity for the nation to show support for the men and women of the armed forces, from serving troops to service families, and from veterans to cadets.

Across the country people will be getting involved with communities holding local events and businesses, like Flambards, doing something to show support.

The Helston park has strong links with its neighbour RNAS Culdrose, lots of staff have family members in the Navy, many local residents work at the air station and Flambards’ founder and owner Douglas Kingsford Hale is a retired Royal Navy senior officer.

General manager, Bill Finlay said: “Armed Forces Day is an important event that aims to give a much valued and well deserved morale boost to our troops and their families – along with our ‘Help for Heroes’ fundraising. We’re delighted to be involved.”
