A fundraising project organised by Truro’s Hall for Cornwall’s project has been shortlisted for a national award.
Jack’s Cows, which saw different businesses sponsor a cow sculpture and paint in their own design, is in the running in the Hollis Sponsorship Award categories of “arts” and “low budget.”
The awards are set up to recognise the best sponsorship campaigns in the UK and internationally.
The judging panel is made up of professionals from different industries and each entry is scrutinised against a strict set of criteria.
The competition is strong with Jack’s Cow’s up against HSBC’s Indian Summer, One & Other – Antony Gormley’s Fourth Plinth Commission sponsored by Sky Arts, Theakstons Old Peculiar Crime Writing Festival and Design Museum & Beefeater’s 24 Super Contemporary.
The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony hosted at the London Marriott on March 9.
The Jack’s Cows project ended with a two-day exhibition at the Hall for Cornwall followed by an auction where they cows were sold for a total of £38,850.
