Lizard lifeboat returns to station as coastguard vessel stands by

The Lizard Lifeboat has returned safe and sound and is ready for action again having gone to the aid of a tanker off Bass Point this morning.

The coastguard vessel Anglian Princess which had been in Falmouth is currently in attendance with the tanker which is still undergoing mechanical repairs.

It is hoped the vessel will soon be underway again.

The Anglian Princess will standby until the tanker is on its way and there was no risk to life.
