Over £2,500 has been donated to charities and groups in Helston from the proceeds of this year’s Helstonbury.

The grants are music to the ears of the eight recipients, who have benefited from the music festival held in July at the Blue Anchor pub.

Al Rideout, who organised Helstonbury with Paul Turton and Blue Anchor landlord Simon Stone, said: “It’s just fantastic that young people and other musicians come together to raise money for the local community. It’s great.”
