The mother of a teenage girl who died after falling from a bridge at Illogan has spoken about her daughter’s bullies.
Simone Grice, aged 15, was found at the bottom of the flyover at Broad Lane, which goes over the A30, close to her home. Her mother Linda has been quoted in a newspaper as saying Simone was being home-tutored at the time of her death, because bullies had driven her out of school.
She had also recently split up from her boyfriend, which she was “devastated” about. Her mother feared this might have been “the final straw.”
Simone was found at 11pm on Monday and police are still investigating the circumstances leading up to her death.
An inquest is expected to be opened and adjourned today.
