Truro Golf Club is in mourning after one of its promising young members was killed in car crash.
Nineteen-year-old Ben Enoch was understood to have been travelling to a golf tournament in Lancashire, on Thursday morning, when his Peugeot 306 was involved in an accident on the A40 near Whitchurch, Herefordshire.
Mr Enoch was a regular member of the Cornwall county team and had represented Wales at international level. His older brother Ryhs, is also a full international player with Wales.
A spokeswoman for Truro Golf Club, who lowered their flag to half-mast as a mark of respect, said: “Ben was a fantastic ambassador for the club. He was admired and liked by all, from the youngest to the oldest. He was always working on his game, but also had time to help others. His cheeky, smiling face and high spirits will be remembered by all.
Our thoughts are with his family.”
