FIRE crews rushed to the aid of a person who had collapsed in a smoke-filled building last night.
Twenty two firefighters on four appliances from Helston, Mullion and Tolvaddon, along with three crew on the Red Cross Emergency Response vehicle, were mobilised to a property in Porthleven.
There had been reports of fire alarms sounding and the occupant was collapsed in the property around 11pm.
Wearing two breathing apparatus, crews entered the property with a thermal imaging camera and a hose reel jet, a safety jet was also in use.
Firefighters found a casualty collapsed behind a door.
Crews administered oxygen to the casualty until the arrival of ambulance paramedics.
Firefighters used one hose reel and one safety jet to extinguish the fire.
