A car crashed into a private garden having demolished a concrete wall on Saturday evening.

Police are appealing for information as to how the a black Skoda Fabia came to rest in the garden just before 8pm in mid-Cornwall.

The saloon car, with two male occupants inside, was the only vehicle involved in the incident on the A391 at Bugle, near St Austell.

The driver was conveyed by South Western Ambulance Service to Derriford Emergency Department.  

The driver’s condition remains serious at this time and the front seat passenger received less serious injuries.

The A391 carriageway remained closed while a forensic examination of the scene was conducted.

The road was fully re opened at 8.35am yesterday, having been inspected by Highways England.

Officers from the Bodmin Roads Policing Unit and Serious Collision Investigation Team are appealing for witnesses to come forward quoting log number 0914 of 22/06/19.
