A dog had to be rescued from inside a building where fire had broken out this lunchtime.
Crews from Helston and Penzance fire stations were scrambled to Ocean Crescent in Porthleven at midday.
Firefighters found the kitchen of a bungalow to be on fire.
They had to wear breathing equipment while putting out the flames with a hose reel.
It is understood the fire centred around a cooker.
A fire service spokesperson said: “One dog was also rescued from the property.”
