• A PENRYN man was fined £440 for speeding and for not having working sidelights.

Harry Martin, 27, of Kernick Road, committed the offence on February 28.

He was found guilty of two charges through the single justice procedure.

As well as the fine, he must now pay the courts a victim surcharge of £44 and costs of £85.

His driving record was also endorsed with six penalty points.

  • A CARNMENELLIS man was fined for speeding in Trewennack.

Adam Roberts, 39, of Trinity Praze, was fined £20 for the offence which took place on November 27 2018.

He did not enter a plea as he was found guilty by the single justice procedure.

He was also ordered to pay court costs of £50, and his driving record was endorsed with three penalty points.

  • A REDRUTH man was given a large fine for driving without a valid licence or insurance.

Christian Michael John Robins, 21, of King Street, was fined £660 for the offence which took place on February 27 on the A3047 in Redruth.

He was found guilty through the single justice procedure.

As well as the fine, his driving record was endorsed with eight points and he was made to pay court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £66.

  • A CAMBORNE man was fined for speeding.

Scott Smeeth, 32, of Pendarves Road, broke the speed limit on Henver Road in Newquay on December 5 2018 and was fined £220.

He was found guilty through the single justice procedure and did not enter a plea.

  • SPEEDING landed a man from Shortlanesend near Truro with a £110 fine.

Peter Gordon Mewton, 64, of Lamorne Close, committed the offence on December 7 2018.
