A CAMBORNE man was fined for driving without a valid licence or insurance.
Alexander Craig James, 21, of Parc An Tansys was fined £660 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £85.
He was disqualified from holding a licence for six months and was given six penalty points.
He did not enter a plea as the offence was proven by the single justice procedure.
A MAN from Truro who failed to pay a fine for driving without insurance had the fine decreased.
Andrew Hayes, 35, of Church Close, had his £811 fine reduced by £234 as the court had not been made fully aware of his financial circumstances.
A sum of £23 was also reduced from a victim surcharge of £43 imposed on him for the same sentence.
SPEEDING in Exeter landed a Truro man with a £133 fine.
Jason Keith Morcom, 44, of Polisken Way, committed the offence on October 19 2018 when he exceeded the 70 mile-per-hour speed limit.
He pleaded guilty to the offence, and as well as the fine was ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge and court costs of £85.
His licence was also endorsed with six penalty points.
