A DRINK driver has been disqualified for almost two years.

Iain Stuart Littlemore, aged 32, of Tregear, Ladock, admitted committing the offence in Perranporth on April 13.

He had 84mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He was banned for 20 months and fined £130. He was ordered to pay £135 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

A FALMOUTH man who caused unnecessary suffering to a dog has appeared before magistrates.

Aaron Mark Pill, aged 24, of Tresawle Road, denied the offence, which took place between December 13 and January 10, but he was found guilty.

He caused suffering to a beagle-type dog called Archie, by failing to adequately investigate and address a problem with its leg.

Pill was given a two-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay costs of £750. He also had to pay a £20 victim surcharge.

An order was made under Section 33 of the Animal Welfare Act 2006 to deprive the defendant of ownership of the animal and for its disposal.

A WOMAN has been banned from the roads for three years for drink driving.

Mary Miller, aged 39, of Mabbots Court, Penzance, pleaded guilty to the offence, which took place on the A30 near Bodmin on February 12.

She had 42mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

She was also fined £162 and ordered to pay £200 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

A HELSTON teenager who drove without due care and attention did not have insurance or a licence.

Adrians Greberis, a Latvian national from Gweal Wartha, admitted committing the offences in a Vauxhall Astra, in Gear Hill, Mawgan, on May 4.

He was fined £200 for driving without insurance and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His driving record was endorsed with eight points.

For driving without due care and attention he was fined £65 and there was no separate penalty for the licence offence.

A WOMAN who was almost five times over the drink-drive limit has been given a prison sentence.

Allison Nicklin, aged 51, from Kings Road, Camborne, admitted committing the offence in Hayle on April 22.

She had a staggering 158mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

Magistrates gave her a 12-week sentence suspended for 12 months, due to the "very high reading aggravated by very appalling standard of driving".

She must also comply with a rehabilitation activity requirement for 12 months.

Nicklin was ordered to pay £85 costs and £115 victim surcharge. She was banned from driving for three years.

A DRINK driver who was disqualified has committed another drink-drive offence.

Thomas Shea, aged 36, of Twelveheads, near Truro, pleaded guilty to drink driving on August 14 in a silver Honda Accord in Portreath.

On that occasion he had 44mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He also admitted driving a VW Golf whilst disqualified and while he was over the alcohol limit on May 18, in Goonhavern. He had 41mcgs of alcohol in his breath.

Magistrates imposed a community order on Shea, in which he will be electronically monitored for six months. He must also carry out 300 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months.

He was disqualified from driving for 40 months and ordered to pay a total of £170 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

A MAN who stole a motorcycle has been fined.

Ashley Calvin Jones, aged 23, of Trerise Road, Camborne, admitted stealing the orange KTM bike on December 8.

He was fined £46 and ordered to pay £100 compensation, £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

DRIVING whilst over the alcohol limit has resulted in a ban for a 25 year-old man.

Ashley Mitchell, of Strawberry Fields, Lanner, admitted committing the offence on May 2 in Wilson Way, Redruth.

He had 45mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He was banned from driving for 14 months and fined £461. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £46 victim surcharge.

A CAMBORNE woman drove whilst under the influence of cannabis.

Kayleigh Salmon, aged 20, of St Meriadoc Road, admitted committing the offence in a red Ford Ka on the A30 at Scorrier.

She was banned for 18 months and fined £48. She was ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

A DRINK driver from Mylor has been handed a community order.

David Charles Lansdowne, aged 48, of Penarrow Road, admitted driving a black Mercedes in Old Hill, Falmouth, while over the limit.

He had 92mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He was ordered to do 100 hours of unpaid work and disqualified for 24 months.

He must pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.
