On Saturday, a boat's engines failed off Coverack and it had to be towed back to Falmouth.
A cooling hose had split while the engines were running, causing it to fill with water and suffer a "complete electrical and mechanical shutdown" (Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team).
Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team were tasked at 11.44am to assist the Falmouth Lifeboat which was towing the vessel.
Coastguard team members liaised with staff from Port Pendennis Marina to identify a berth where the boat could be towed to.
On arrival, an inspection was carried out by marina staff and the boat was found to have taken on a significant amount of water due to the leak.
Salvage pumps were then used to remove water from the vessel.
