- A moped rider was airlifted to Treliske hospital after a collision on the A39 Hillhead Roundabout at around 1.05pm today.
- Initial reports suggested that a car was involved, but police later confirmed that there was only a single vehicle.
- The moped appeared to have mounted the central reservation on the A39 Falmouth turnoff.
- Its driver sustained a head injury that is not thought to be life changing/threatening.
- Traffic was heavy in the area and the A39 between the Lidl and Hillhead roundabouts was closed whilst police cleared the scene.
- The road was reopened and traffic returned to normal by 3pm.
