Homophobic slurs were spray painted on properties in Falmouth in the latest spate of vandalism sweeping the town.

The offending language was branded on houses in Tregenver Road and Trescobeas Road.

A brand-new Range Rover was also targeted in the mindless act, which is thought to have taken place in the early hours of Easter Monday.

One of the affected residents of Tregenver Road, who did not want to be named, said that her initial reaction was one of anger, and that her husband is "gutted" about his new Range Rover being vandalised.

She said: "We have only had the car for a week, it's a new one. It's going to cost us a lot of money, I imagine it will affect next year's insurance premium.

"I can't understand how nobody heard or saw anything because people are home when there's all that going on."
