PRIVATE and public gardens across Cornwall will be opening their gates to raise funds for the Merlin MS Centre.

Now in it’s third year, the Merlin MS Centre Open Garden Scheme offers horticultural lovers the chance to enjoy the many tranquil and beautiful gardens Cornwall has to offer.

Among this year’s gardens is Pinetum Gardens in St Austell, a 30-acre garden with 6,000 varieties of plants and 12 unique garden styles.

The gardens are offering a reduced entry price of £7.50 on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th April to anyone who books online in aid of the charity. Tickets can be purchased at www.crbo.co.uk/merlin.

Other gardens taking part in this year’s scheme are: Sculpture Garden, Helston; May – May Tree Gardens, St Austell; Lanlivery Garden Trail, Lanlivery; Trenarth Gardens, Constantine and Pencarey Gardens, St Teath.

Full details included dates, times and entry prices can be found by contacting Lucy on 01726 885530 or emailing lucy@merlinmscentre.org.uk. They can also be found on the Merlin MS Centre Facebook page under events.

Lucy Chappell, community fundraiser for the charity, said: “We are delighted to have had such a wonderful selection of gardens for visitors to enjoy. We are really grateful to those green-fingered gardeners for letting others enjoy all their hard work, which I am sure inspire others to make the most of their gardens – however big or small. We would love to have some more gardens to participate so if anyone would like to join us please get in touch soon.”

All funds raised by the gardens will go to support the Merlin MS Centre.
