A WOMAN who drove while under the influence of drugs has been banned from the roads.

Jodie Elizabeth Brown, aged 28, of Rosewithian Barns, Mabe, admitted committing the offence in a red Peugeot on the A394 at Penryn on October 30.

She had 3.3mcgs of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol - an ingredient of marijuana - per litre of blood.

Brown was disqualified from driving for 14 months and fined £220. She was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

She also admitted driving otherwise in accordance with a licence, for which she received no separate penalty.

* A 21 year old man was over the legal alcohol limit when he drove in Helston, magistrates heard.

Connor James Smith, of Parc an Maen, Porthleven, admitted committing the offence on January 22 on Nettles Hill in a silver VW Golf.

He had 46mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He was was banned for 12 months and fined £260. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

* A RESTRAINING order has been imposed on a Redruth man.

Ian Robert George, aged 48, of Trevingey Road, admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour on October 25 last year.

He received a two-year conditional discharge and was ordered not to contact the person at whom he committed the offence.

He was also ordered to pay £135 costs and £20 victim surcharge.

* A MAN who failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver alleged to have committed an offence has been fined.

Christopher Feihn, aged 34, of Tresawya Drive, Truro, committed the offence on September 12.

He was fined £660 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £66 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six points.

* A HELSTON man who broke a 70mph speed limit has been fined.

Ian Griffiths, aged 32, of Plover Avenue, admitted committing the offence in an Audi TT on the A30 at Victoria, Roche, on August 9.

He was fined £276 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six points.

* A RUAN MINOR woman exceeded a 60mph speed limit in a motor van.

Sandra Jane Noble, aged 59, of Mount Carless Farm, admitted committing the offence in a Mercedes Sprinter on the A30 at Launceston, on August 8.

She was fined £143 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. Her licence was endorsed with five points.

* A 24 year old man exceeded a 70mph speed limit on the A30 at Goss Moor.

Christopher Stephen Groves, of Bray Rise, Four Lanes, admitted committing the offence on August 7 in a BMW 320i.

He was fined £253 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six points.

Stephen Robert Benjamin Hale, of Rosewithian Barns, Mabe, committed the offence on October 29 in Camborne.

* EXCEEDING a 60mph limit has resulted in a fine for a Chacewater man.

Gary Hawkey, aged 52, of Station Road, admitted committing the offence on October 25 on the A38 at Saltash.

He was fined £233 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with four points.

Zoe McKay Smith, of Red Lane, Rosudgeon, admitted committing the offence in a Mini Cooper on August 5, on Tresawls Road.

She was fined £130 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. Her licence was endorsed with three points.

* DRIVING without insurance has resulted in a fined for a 42 year old man.

Constantin Mohora, of Gweal Pawl, Redruth, committed the offence at Threemilestone on September 2.
