Truro High School pupil Nell Clayton is only five-years-old, but this February she made a decision that's going to changes lives.

Nell has had almost 12 inches of her hair cut to donate to The Little Princess Trust.

The charity provides real hair wigs to boys and girls across the country who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment.

She said: “It makes me feel really happy to think about how it will help lots of poorly children.”

Now, Nell is also fundraising for the charity so that they can buy more wigs. So far, she has raised nearly £140 from family, friends and the school community.

Head of Prep School, Miss Annabel Ramsey said: “It’s lovely to see someone so young showing such awareness of those less fortunate than us. I am always so proud of the kindness our girls show others and Nell’s compassion is incredibly inspiring.”
