The A39 between Treluswell Roundabout and Carnon Gate Roundabout was closed on an emergency basis earlier today to allow for safe removal of a dangerous tree.
The road has now been reopened after Cormac worked quickly to remove the tree in time for rush hour.
The tree had been struck by the huge beech which fell in the early hours of yesterday morning (pictured), causing the road to be closed until mid-afternoon.
Today's diversion route was the same as yesterday's, running from the A393 from Treluswell to the A30, then back to Truro from Chiverton Roundabout along the A390.
