MPs will meet Cornish NHS campaigners in Parliament tomorrow before the following week's Budget on Monday, October 29.

Save our NHS Cornwall will be led by former NHS Chief, Dr Colin Philip (founding Chair of NHS Kernow, the local CCG), Cllr Jayne Kirkham (former Labour Candidate for Truro & Falmouth) and former MP Andrew George (Liberal Democrats).

The campaign came together earlier this year and led protests before the NHS's 70th Birthday celebrations in July.

They argue for "20% more by 2020" to save the NHS - a funding increase they have calculated to be necessary to restore and protect services.

They argue that the much proclaimed "£20bn increase" announced by the Prime Minister in July is in fact only £3-4bn next year and depends on a non-existent Brexit dividend; nothing like enough to allow the NHS to cover its current debt and shore-up failing and overstretched services.

They have collected thousands of signatures on a petition supporting their "20% more by 2020" message and will deliver this to Parliament while they are there.
