COASTGUARDS went to the aid of a woman near Porthtowan who was unable to walk after falling and banging their head last night.
Newquay Coastguard received a call just after 10pm, assisting teams from Portreath and St Agnes who had already begun the search just after 9pm.
Police and the ambulance service also attended.
The casualty, described as "missing and vulnerable", had called emergency services to report she had fallen near the coast, in thick fog.
The person was unable to give their location and shortly afterwards, phone signal was lost.
Police officers, including dog handlers and the Police helicopter, the three Coastguard Rescue Teams, and Maritime and Coastguard Agency helicopter Rescue 924, carried out a substantial search of the area in poor weather conditions.
Shortly before midnight Rescue 924 spotted the casualty on a cliff path and directed Coastguard Search teams in, as well as lowering their Paramedic Winchman.
The casualty, who was recovered to the medics at the top of the cliff for treatment, was suffering hypothermia & minor injuries.
Newquay Coastguard said: "It was a great multi agency effort and a life saved."
Teams were stood down at 1am.
