The Lizard lifeboat launched three times in six days last week.

The run of shouts began just after 11pm on Tuesday last week, with reports of a high risk missing person thought to be in the area of Kynance Cove. Mullion Coastguards and the police were also called and shortly before the lifeboat arrived the casualty was found.

The crew then launched again at 10.51am on Sunday to help two people onboard a yacht just off Black Head, one of which had been taken ill. The casualty was transferred to the lifeboat and taken to Falmouth where an ambulance was waiting.

They were then paged for a second time that day shortly before 4pm, to help a visitor taken ill during a coasteering activity near Hot Point, near to the lifeboat station. The casualty was transferred to the lifeboat via the smaller Y boat and given care until reaching the boathouse, where an ambulance was waiting.
