Comedian Jim Davidson launched into a Twitter tirade against the Princess Pavilion after failing to draw a crowd.

He hit out at the venue online, criticising the lack of advertising, lighting and changing facilities. He also complained that it was too hot, that people at the venue did not recognise him and that a fire alarm went off.

He wrote: "Just arrived at the theatre in Falmouth. Not got a clue. Doing the show with working lights. F*** this!!!!!people [sic] deserve better."

Another tweet read: "There are people inthis [sic] building asking what I am doing here."

Continuing on his twitter rant the morning of his Falmouth show, he wrote: "Forgot to say it is the smallest crowd I’ve played to ever. My fault? Obviously. 1000 people tomorrow in Torquay. Maybe they advertised it!!!! Just got changed in the carpark."

These hot-headed antics were not the first time the veteran funny man has had his run-ins with venue staff.

In 2003, he cancelled a show after managers at a theatre in Plymouth (coincidentally named Plymouth Pavilions) refused to move disabled people from the front row to the side of the audience.

Then, in 2011, he was banned from performing at the Theatre Royal in Norwich for a previous incident in which he was "Very rude to staff."

In a separate incident, the 64-year-old entertainer was asked not to return to the Assembly Halls in Tunbridge Wells after offending a female lighting operator who then literally left him in the dark for the rest of his performance.

Princess Pavilion were contacted but refused to comment.

Even after his online bust-up with the Pavilion, Jim Davidson will be returning to Cornwall on November 16 to take on the Regal Theatre in Redruth.
