A DERELICT building caught fire on Trevenson Road in Pool on Wednesday afternoon.
The Critical Control Centre received many calls reporting smoke coming out of the building, with appliances from Tolvaddon and Penzance attending the incident.
The crews reported a fire on the ground floor in the building, which measured approximately eight metres by five metres.
Initially it was suspected that a person may be inside the building, however everybody has now been accounted for.
Crews are using breathing apparatus and hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
