THE owner of a Falmouth business beat hundreds of others to win the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to question Dragon's Den entrepreneur Peter Jones on how to grow her business.

Mr Jones and senior executives from business management company Sage, chose Samantha Charles as the winner of the competition for her vision, enthusiasm and innovation.

Samantha, who owns Float Digital, based in King Charles Street, said: “Winning the Sage Ambition competition is a fantastic opportunity for me to get insight and advice from one of Britain’s best-known entrepreneurs.

"I can’t wait to hear more from Peter about how to grow my business and I have no doubt I’ll be using the advice he gives me for years to come.”

Samantha's business provides Search Engine Optimisation and pay-per-click services. Since its launch in 2016, the company has witnessed significant growth and a flurry of international business wins.

She plans to use her session with Mr Jones to garner advice on how she can grow her business, how to invest for success and where to focus her time and energy.

Stephen Kelly, CEO, Sage added: “Ambition drives all businesses, and our mission at Sage is to free our millions of customers to nurture that ambition. These businesses are the heroes of the economy, creating two thirds of all new jobs so we want to celebrate their drive and unlock their potential.

"The quality of the entries was phenomenal, so it was hard to choose a winner. But Samantha’s determination, passion and vision shone through, and the judges’ decision was unanimous. Huge congratulations to Samantha.”

Samantha and nine runners-up in the Sage Ambition competition met Peter Jones and Sage’s CEO Stephen Kelly at a VIP reception at the Andaz in London last week, with Samantha’s follow-up session taking place over the summer.
