Penryn's mayor Shelley Peters has been acting as the town's very own Santa - handing out gifts to the winners of Christmas competitions.
Penryn Town Council ran its own Christmas drawing competition which was won by Vera Leuzzi, aged five, from Mylor School. Second prize went to Raini Varney, aged six, from Penryn. The two girls were invited to meet the mayor and receive their prizes.
The council also ran its annual shop window competition again this year when business owners were invited to decorate them to the theme of Mr Bumble's Dickensian Christmas. The winner of this was the Pharmacy in Lower Market Street.
