Falmouth's Harmony Choir have chosen the four organisations who are to receive a share of the money raised at their 118th annual performance, which will take place on Saturday, December 23.
The choir's committee has decided this year's recipients will be the Boscawen Fields Action Group, Carrick Mind, Falmouth Toy Library and the Falmouth branch of the Mission to Seafarers.
The choir, previously known as the Docks Choir, will be assembling outside the Watersports Centre in Grove Place at 10.15am for a practice before setting off through the town centre. Choir members and collectors are asked to turn up at the Falmouth Watersports Centre from 9am.
The choir will stop along the way to entertain the crowds with traditional Cornish carols and to collect money for the good causes. The 'walking carol service' will end outside the Seven Stars on The Moor, usually around 1pm.
The event is being held on the 23rd this year and not Christmas Eve, because the choir does not perform on Sundays.
