A fire at a derelict property in Falmouth caused road closures in Webber Street this lunch time.
Two fire engines were called to the scene at around 1pm today, following reports of a fire in the former Eight Bar.
A fire service spokesperson said: "Crews investigated smoke issuing from the area and located a controlled burn."
The main fire appeared to be in a yard behind the building, which is in the process of being demolished.
A fire officer at the scene said there were "waste materials being burned out back."
Crews wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fireand it was confirmed to be out by 1.30pm, with one crew remaining at the scene to monitor hotspots and damp down.
