The organisers of a charity obstacle course race in Stithians are urgently appealing for volunteer marshals or else the event will have to be cancelled.
The Race for Life Pretty Muddy, which is being held at Stithians showground on Sunday, September 3, needs people to man obstacles required from 8.30am until 1.30pm.
The organisers said: "We currently only have five marshals for this event but we need 30. We simply cannot hold this event without our amazing volunteers and with only a small amount signed up already, we are sending an urgent plea for your support.
"By signing up to Race for Life’s volunteer team, you will play an important part by helping participants beat cancer sooner by fundraising over £100,000, which would be an outstanding success.
"Volunteering at Race for Life is fun, challenging and rewarding. The atmosphere on the day is electric as people from all walks of life come together to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured."
Staff from Cancer Research UK will brief, guide and support volunteers, and everyone who signs up to help will receive a special t-shirt to wear on the day.
Prospective volunteers should email Amy Salmon on amy.salmon@cancer.org.uk or call 07918 650610.
