For thousands of people, the highlight of Falmouth Week is the programme of live entertainment laid on at Events Square and this year, it appeared, was no exception as record numbers turned out.

The marquee attracted sell out crowds for the ever popular 80s/90s Extravaganza on Friday night, which was headlined by boy band Blue and saw almost everyone turn up in fancy dress; and also the charity Pink Wig Party on the very first night.

The venue was packed throughout the week, though, as people showed their support for the acts presented by Southwest Bars and Events. These included Imelda May, The Boss, a tribute to Bruce Springsteen; salsa night, Craig Charles' funk and soul night, the Counterfeit Stones, and local favourite's Rudi's Message.

Tim Vigus, MD of Southwest Bars and Events, said: “Falmouth Week 2017 has been massive. It was the best and biggest yet for the Events Square marquee with an excess of 10,000 people in the marquee over the week.

"We had sell out shows on Pink Wig and 80s/90s nights, and we are proud to have worked with so many talented artists including Blue, Craig Charles and Imelda May.”
