Three members of Sithney Parish Council with more than 50 years’ experience between them have been thanked as they step down from office.
Former chairman Peter Bickford-Smith, who served for 13 years, has decided to leave in order to be able to concentrate on his business ventures.
Meanwhile Ann Pascoe, who served for an incredible 33 years, wants to focus on her family commitments, as does Liz Williams who has also served for many years.
Jean Daybell, who was elected as chairman of the council in May this year, wished all three outgoing members good luck in their ventures, with Mr Bickford-Smith and Mrs Pascoe presented with gifts from members.
The trio were thanked for their dedication and told their “valuable contributions will be sorely missed.”
Sithney Parish Council currently has four vacancies for members. Anyone who lives within the parish and would like to serve on the council can email sithneypc@gmail.com for more details.
