Groups of children jumped at the chance to take part in some craft activities and games when Penryn Methodist Church opened the doors of its holiday club last week.
The club, which has been running for about 20 years, is run by Sharon Bawden and her group of volunteer helpers. This time, it provided five days of fun for the youngsters who paid just £1.50, which covered the cost of refreshments.
Sharon said: "We have not had a large number of children in, but it has still gone well because those that have been here have really enjoyed it. The aim is that it's just an informal way to spread the Christian message through a DVD, but it's really fun with games and crafts. There is a different theme every day."
The next children's event to be hosted by Penryn methodists will be a Messy Church session during the October half term.
