A section of the A39 between Truro and Falmouth has been closed due to a four car collision.

Police are currently at the scene of the serious collision near Truro, between Playing Place and Arch Hill.

A force spokesperson said: "Police were notified around 11am today to reports of a four vehicle collision and an ambulance was called.

"One man has been taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries."

Road closures have been put in place at Arch Hill and Kea Church. Diversions are currently being made.

According to Cormac the road could be closed for up to eight hours.


Motorists are being asked to avoid the area, and a diversion is in place from Arch Hill Roundabout via the A390, A30 and A393 to Treluswell Roundabout, and vice versa.
