This photograph shows a group of friends from Falmouth Labour Club on one of their annual holidays to Majorca in the 1980s.

It was supplied by Bill Campbell, who ran the club in Webber Hill with his wife, Edwina, for about 30 years. They passed it onto their daughter, Marie Datson, when they retired when Bill was 65. Sadly, Marie died in 2007.

When the Campbells were at the helm, club members used to jet off to Majorca on a group holiday every year for about seven years.

"We used to go for a couple of weeks - 60 of us would go and have a good time. When there we used to go to show and just enjoy ourselves."

Among those who used to join the group were George Pill senior and his wife Sylvia, Richie Perran, Russell Winsper and his wife, and Tony Clarinbold.

"We used to have a really good club," said Mr Campbell. We had four euchre teams, three or four darts teams, pool teams together with cricket and football teams."
