The Friends of Tregoniggie Woodland in Falmouth have plenty of reasons to smile after all their hard work and dedication was rewarded with a Green Flag Community Award.
The flag was awarded in recognition of the improvements the Friends have made to the woodland, including making access easier and creating "beautiful walks." It was the first time the group had entered the competition so members are delighted to have their efforts acknowledged.
The Friends continue to work within the woodland and are always on the look-out for new members to join them for their regular work parties. These take pace on the second and fourth Saturday of the month from 10am until noon. The next one is this Saturday, August 27, and anyone interested should meet at the Two Bridges on the path from Polventon Road.
