Youngsters have been jumping at the chance to take part in art workshops at Gyllyngdune Gardens in Falmouth and parents have being loving the fact they are now free of charge.

The make and take creative workshops for kids have been held throughout August under the tuition of Sara Baistrocchi. Previously it had cost £4 per child to take part, but thanks to fact that Falmouth Town Council is now sponsoring them, the admission fee has been waived.

So far this month, children have made monsters flapbooks, friendship bracelets, learned macrame, made juggling balls and learned how to use them and made magic sand jars. This Wednesday, August 24, the fun continues with the chance to create a whole world of sea creatures with plates and then next Wednesday there will be the chance to learn guerilla gardening and make your own set of seedbombs.

There is a morning session from 10.30am on each day and a later one from 2pm. Advance booking is encouraged and can be made via the Princess Pavilion box office on 211222 or through Facebook by searching for make & take kids. All children have to be accompanied by an adult who must remain for the entire session.

The adults make and take sessions will be relaunched in October and will again be free, although donations will be gratefully received.
