The Penmorvah Manor Hotel in Budock Water is to host a Silver Garden Party as part of Children’s Hospice South West’s (CHSW) silver anniversary celebrations.

The party will be held on Sunday, July 3, starting at 2pm and running until 5pm. Entry will be £9 for adults and £6 for children, tickets are available to purchase in advance to avoid disappointment and 50 per cent of the entry price will be donated straight to CHSW.

Ticket price includes a welcome drink on arrival at 2pm, afternoon tea will then be served from 2.30pm and those attending will be entertained by Wendron Silver Band and the Celtic Chords Barbershop Singers. Penmorvah Manor has six acres of Victorian woodland garden which overlooks Maenporth beach which can be enjoyed on the day.

Neil Slade, the hotel's general manager, said: “We are delighted to be hosting such a special anniversary garden party which will give us an opportunity to say thank you to the many friends and supporters of Children’s Hospice South West whilst continuing to raise awareness of the incredible work that CHSW undertake to help so many short but precious lives.”

Mary Murfin, community fundraiser at CHSW, added: “We hope many people will come and support this special event and help us to celebrate the 25th anniversary of CHSW whilst enjoying the wonderful gardens and views from Penmorvah to the sea and beyond. Fear not, should the weather be inclement; the event will take place in the hotel’s restaurant. Everybody is very welcome.”
