Falmouth College’s Tincan Theatre Company's production proved the hottest ticket in town last Friday night when queues stretched back 50 metres from the entrance to The Poly.

The group of sixth form students performed a variety show as the culminating part of their BTEC level three performing arts course. Attended by over 160 people, the evening was a resounding success with a packed house .

The Tincan Theatre Company consisted of Matt Bethermin, Louisa Riggall, Megan Tremethick, Joe Holland, Callum Kitts, Esther Martin, Chay Morris, Kerry Freeland, Richard Howard.

The performance celebrated all that is so great about musicals, British comedy and contemporary music. The company, ably aided by performers form years seven, 11 and 12, were given a standing ovation at the end.

Course leader Jeremy Eden, who was also the compere for the evening, is hoping this will become an annual event to show off the broad range of students' talents. “The night was a huge success and I’m so pleased that all of the student’s hard work was rewarded by the support they received," he said. "Hopefully this will become a regular night as it really gives the students something tangible to aim at.”
