While winter storms rattled around Falmouth, members of the Cornwall Hospice Care Falmouth Support Group enjoyed a winter warmer at a sea front hotel for their annual Ladies' Day.

The group, which organises regular fundraisers to help the charity, gathered at the Falmouth Hotel for a day of entertainment and socialising, with a little bit of shopping.

In the morning the ladies gathered to watch a performance by Magic Circle member Gary Mac, who wowed his audience with feats of close-up magic.

Following lunch the group was treated to another stunning performance, as the same room turned into a catwalk for a fashion show with clothes supplied by Falmouth company March Hare and its owner Angela Cortis.

The group's chair, Christine Morris, said: "It's Ladies' Day, which happens every November.

"Everyone's having a good day. The feeling this morning was really good."

It was the third year that the group had held the event at the Falmouth Hotel, and the 15th Ladies Day to be hosted by the group.

As well as the entertainment, there were stalls selling jewellery and other gifts, as well as a stall for Cornwall Hospice care items, and a prize raffle.
