Hot on the heels of a hugely successful fundraiser, the names of the 52 groups who have been confirmed to perform at next year's International Sea Shanty Festival in Falmouth, have been revealed.

A sea shanty evening held at the Falmouth Watersports Centre to raise money towards staging next summer's festival was "absolutely amazing" with a sell out crowd turning out in support. As the audience tucked into a pint and pasty they were entertained by local shanty groups The Oggymen, Rum & Shrub and Falmouth Shout.

Next year's Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival will take place from June 17 to 19 with performances taking place at a number of venues across the towns. In addition to the main stages at Events Square and Custom House Quay, numerous pubs and other locations will play host to the groups.

Exactly which groups will be attending the festival have now been revealed by the organiser and are: Aggie Boys, Baldricks Plan, Back Beach Boyz, Barnacle Buoys, Bluebelle Line, Bosuns Call, Cadgwith Singers, Cape Cornwall Singers, Enkhuizen 4 (includes Dutch Uncle), Exmouth Shanty Men, Falmouth Fish,

Falmouth Shout, Femme De La Mere, Figurehead, Fishermans Friends, Jack, Kimbers Men, Lemonaires, Les Brouilleurs d'Ecoute, Longest Johns, Mariners Away, Nauti Buoys, Naze Shanty Crew, Nankersey MVC, Nordet, Oll and Gwella, Pirates of St Piran, Portsmouth Shantymen, Press Gang, Rum & Shrub, Scheepsfolk, Shake A Leg, She Shanties, Short Drag Roger, Stamp & Go, Swinging The Lead, Tavy Tars, The 5 Men Not Called Matt, Thraw’d Together, The Navy Larks, Toue Sabord, Treverva, Two Anchors, Trim Rig & A Doxy,
