Falmouth Harbour Commissioners is giving one lucky young Packet reader the chance to stand front row at this year’s Red Arrows display on Wednesday, August 12.
The commissioners, who have sponsored the world-famous aerobatic display at Falmouth Week since 2009, have teamed up with the Red Arrows to offer one child the chance to accompany Red Arrow’s pilot, Red 10, during his commentary of the exhilarating spectacle from Custom House Quay. The lucky winner will also receive a goody bag and a framed signed-photograph of the pilots to take home.
All you have to do to be in with a chance is draw a picture of the Red Arrows in action. The competition is open to under 16s.
Dave Ellis, chair of Falmouth Harbour Commissioners, said: “We’re delighted to have secured the return of Red Arrows again this year. The display is very popular and attracts large crowds so it is great to be able to offer the chance for someone to stand next to a Red Arrows pilot on the quay whilst he is commentating.
"The winner will also get the chance to meet Red 10 and will receive Red Arrows memorabilia including a signed photograph of the pilots. We are really looking forward to seeing this year’s entries.”
To enter, drawings should be mailed or hand-delivered to Falmouth Harbour Commissioners, 44 Arwenack Street, Falmouth, TR11 3JQ along with the entrant’s name, age, address and contact number. Entries should be received by no later than noon on Monday, August 3. The commissioners will pick five drawings to appear in the Falmouth Packet next week and readers will then be invited to vote for their favourite.

1 One entry per person
2 Entries received after noon on Monday, August 3, will not be counted
3 The winner will be selected by readers of the Falmouth Packet and notified by Falmouth Harbour Commissioners on the afternoon of Monday, August 10.
4 The prize is non transferable and the winner should be able to attend the Red Arrows display in Falmouth on Wednesday, August 12 from 5.15pm and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18
5 No cash alternatives will be offered
6 The prize excludes travel
