CONSTANTINE Parish Council has presented its groundsman and caretaker, Geoff Jorey, with a scale mode of a Massey Ferguson TE20 tractor in recognition of his more than 30 years of service.
In a short speech, the council chairman, Paul Carter, said: “The council would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your commitment over the years. We have a lot to be grateful for in having you to support us in the upkeep of the village and I’m sure we could not have achieved what we have done without you. My wife has often said ‘every parish council needs a Geoff.’ We wish you a very happy and well-deserved retirement.” Mr Jorey thanked members of the council for their support and friendship and warned those who are taking on his duties that he would be watching.
