Helston residents are being warned of a possible scam involving two men selling potentially substandard tools and plant, with possible other underhand motives.
Helston neighbourhood team have had a number of reports this week about two men attempting to sell generators and chainsaws to people in the town.
A police spokesperson said: "There is a concern that these items maybe substandard and overpriced.
"This may be a guise to gain access to property and for them to survey the area.
"Please encourage members of the public to be vigilant and not to purchase such items."
