MP George Eustice visits Mawnan's Abbeyfiel home
Local MP George Eustice visited residents at Abbeyfield's Scott House in Mawnan Smith at their recent summer fete.
He was there to present Scott House founder and president, Marjorie Briers, a certificate in recognition of the achievement of new higher standards in the care offered at the Abbeyfield home.
Around 80 friends and family members enjoyed a lovely afternoon in the gardens and many took the chance to look around. Scott House, together with another Abbeyfield home, Tresillian House in Falmouth, offers affordable supported care to older people who need a little help with daily living, but still want to keep their independence.
