The Falmouth and Exeter Students’ Union is inviting students and staff from the universities and local families to the Tremough 2015 Community Games which are being held at the Penryn Campus on Sunday, May 3, between noon and 4pm.

This festival-style afternoon will showcase a range of sporting and cultural activities, offering something for everyone, from the young to the young at heart.

Event co-ordinator Hattie Frisby has put together an action-packed programme to encourage everyone in the community to get active and keep the Olympic legacy alive.

In addition to traditional sporting activities such as lacrosse and volleyball, other quirkier clubs and societies will be in attendance, from shinty to quidditch. For the little ones, there will be a bouncy castle and face painting, plus more.

the chance to meet creepy crawlies, llamas and ponies. Local community groups and businesses will also be in attendance.

“The programme ensures something for everyone,” said Hattie. “All activities are completely free and offer you the chance to try something you may have never done before. We are holding the event on a Bank Holiday Sunday to give even more people the chance to join in and hope to welcome a record number of local families this year.”
