A catamaran had to be towed to safety on Saturday afternoon after one of its engines failed at the Cross Roads Buoy in the Carrick Roads.
Falmouth RNLI was called at around 3.30pm to help the 30ft Silent Cat, with two people on board, that had reported that it was not making headway and was in danger of being blown onto a lee shore.
An RNLIS spokesperson said:"A lifeboat crewman was put on board the vessel to assist with rigging the towline. Once the towline was secure the catamaran was towed towards Mylor Harbour where it was then safely moored by 4.05pm."
The catamaran had been on passage from Falmouth to Mylor when one of its two engines had failed.
